Almond Care Children’s Services opens a new home and prepares to open another

Almond Care Children’s Services is thrilled to announce the appointment of Eddy Samba as the Manager of Bluebell House, the latest residential home in Leicestershire for children delivered by this fast-growing care provider.

Eddy, who began his career with us as a residential care worker, has consistently demonstrated a profound commitment and passion for improving the lives of children in care.

His outstanding dedication and leadership have not only impacted the lives of many but have also inspired his colleagues to pursue excellence in their careers.

Under Eddy’s management, Bluebell House is set to become a cornerstone of Almond Care Children’s Services’ commitment to providing exceptional care and support for children with additional needs.

Eddy’s journey from a care worker to a manager embodies the growth and development opportunities that Almond Care strives to offer all its employees.

He will soon complete his Ofsted Registered Managers process, allowing him to manage the home in the near future.

His firsthand experience in direct care roles provides him with invaluable insights into the needs and challenges faced by both children and staff, making him the perfect leader for the new home.

In tandem with the opening of Bluebell House, Almond Care Children’s Services has also launched Sunflower House, another new residence, following its recent registration.

The team at Sunflower House, led by Manager Suzannah Dukes, has been actively engaged in workshops, training sessions, and team-building activities to ensure they provide the highest standard of care.

Suzannah just gained the registration of her home, Sunflower House, and Ofsted Registered Managers certificate and Jodie Spiel joins her in obtaining her Ofsted Registered Manager certification in Rainbow House.

Matthew Gorvin, Head of Children’s Services, said: “Eddy’s appointment and the upcoming openings of Bluebell House, Jodie’s registration and Suzannah’s work at Sunflower House reflect Almond Care’s ongoing commitment to enhancing childcare and providing a safe, nurturing environment for all our residents.

“We are confident that their leadership will make a significant and positive impact on the lives of many young individuals.”
