Almond Care Children’s Services is up for an award at the National Children and Young People’s Awards 2026

The National Children and Young People’s Awards are set to take place on 22 November at the ICC in Birmingham, celebrating excellence in care for children and young people across the UK.

Leicestershire’s own Almond Care have been shortlisted for the Employer (central) award at the upcoming ceremony.

Almond Care Children’s Services has multiple homes located throughout the Leicestershire region, dedicated to providing safe and nurturing environments for children with additional needs.

Julia Senah is a director at Almond Care Children’s Services. She said: “We are so pleased to have been nominated for the employer award.

“Our team work so hard every day to provide for the children in our care, day in and day out, and we are so happy to be recognised for supporting them in the way that they deserve.

“The staff are paramount to our operations. We support children with additional needs across multiple homes in Leicestershire, providing unique support tailored to their needs.”

During the summer holidays, the team at Almond Care Children’s Services have been busy bringing meaningful memories to life for all of the children in their care.

Joy Lees, Director of Almond Care Children’s Services, said: “At the heart of our team are the children. We work tirelessly to support them and ensure that they get to take part in activities that mean something to them.

“Our children have spent the summer months visiting the Kitty café, exploring Birdland, singing with Princess Aurora and exploring the seaside.

“None of which would be possible without the unwavering support that is provided to us by our directors, Emma and Julia.
