18 November 2022
The well-being of the future generation must be a top priority.
As World Children’s Day approaches, which is on 20 November, it is important to ensure we are doing all we can to ensure children receive the care they need, both physically and emotionally.
This awareness day, led by UNICEF, highlights the issues that children face, with the theme for this year being ‘inclusion, for every child’.
Safeguarding is an essential part of supporting children, but the importance of mental health must also be recognised.
The importance of listening
Each child will encounter different challenges but knowing that they have someone they can turn to is vital.
Encouraging children to discuss their feelings plays a big role in this, but you must also listen.
If you are worried about your child’s mental health, contact your child’s GP for support.
How can Almond Care Children’s Services help?
At Almond House, we take a child-focused approach to ensure every child receives the best quality of care possible.
By listening to the concerns of each child, we work with them to make sense of their feelings and work on any issues that they face.
Our in-house psychotherapist is also able to provide tailored therapeutic care based on the needs of the child.
