2 February 2024
Children’s Mental Health Week 2024 is 5-11 February.
This is an initiative (launched by Place2Be) which gives children and young people in the UK a voice.
The theme for this year’s CMHW is ‘My Voice Matters’, showcasing and highlighting why we should work together to help children feel they matter.
It is important a child finds their voice to ensure they are heard and seen as an individual.
Place2Be launched Children’s Mental Health Week in 2015, and now helps hundreds of schools, children, parents, and carers take part in looking after a child’s mental health.
A child can be encouraged to feel empowered by using their voice through lots of ways.
These include:
It is also important to tune into children and their mental health.
This can be done:
We believe that no child or young person should face a mental health problem alone, and it is our mission to provide the care needed to improve their mental health.
At Almond Children’s Care we offer therapy services, designed to establish how children feel and present the right care for them.
Our fully qualified and experienced in-house psychotherapist focuses on overcoming emotional challenges a child might face.
Engagement is key to our therapy services, allowing us to work with any child to help them overcome barriers they might face, enhancing their quality of life as they continue to grow.
